In our studio, we’re doing our best to reflect our awareness of the impact of metal mining. We source gold from suppliers of recycled metals, or artisanal mines whenever possible to reduce our fingerprints. It’s important however to know that we are functioning in the middle of an industry that is just awakening to the importance of this issue, and it is by no means anywhere close to where it should be.
We work with natural stones to the extent that is possible and encourage customers to use their own recycled diamonds.
Ultimately, the change will really take shape when we are fully aware of the effects that our daily choices make. The change is slow but real and that is what makes us hopeful.
